  • Control and optimization of oxygen scavenger systems
Hydrazine

Description

Hydrazine is widely used in power generation plants to remove dissolved oxygen in boiler feed water and as a corrosion inhibitor. The analyzer can be used as a process monitor or discharge limit monitor, the single reagent configuration ensure minimum operating costs.

Method

Under acidic conditions, hydrazine reacts with p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde to form a yellow-colored azine complex. The absorbance intensity is proportional to the hydrazine concentration in the sample and is determined at 470 nm.
